Fatehpur, 26

Oct (HS): In Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh, a newly married woman hanged

herself in her in-laws' house under suspicious circumstances on Sunday night.

In the morning, the family members were stunned to see her hanging from the

noose. Lavkush Kutar, son of Phoolchand, a resident of Tikri Manauti village of

Bindki police station, had performed love marriage with Julie, daughter of Ram

Bihari, a resident of Chaturipur in Hamirpur district, about a year ago. The

family members of wife Lalita were unhappy with this marriage and lodged a

report in the police station and Lavkush also remained in jail for about four

months. After being released from jail, Julie's family members sent their

daughter Julie to her in-laws' house in Manauti along with Lavkush. Both

husband and wife were living happily. Only yesterday, Lalita had come to

Manauti village to meet her daughter Julie with her son-in-law Lavkush.

Family

members said that Julie's husband Lavkush Kutar did not come home yesterday due

to being drunk and had slept in the Lord Shankar temple located in the village,

because he did not want his mother-in-law to know that his son-in-law had

consumed alcohol. On receiving information about the incident, the police

reached the spot and started investigating the matter. After investigation, the

forensic team has sent the body for post-mortem. Outpost in-charge Praveen

Kumar Yadav said that the incident is being investigated. Further legal action

will be taken after the post-mortem report.
