Etah,
21 Oct (HS): The discovery of the body of a 17-year-old youth in a paddy field
in a village in Uttar Pradesh's Etah district has sparked a sensation. The
youth's family suspects murder. Injuries were found on the deceased's face and
neck. Police have sent the body for a post-mortem examination.
On
Tuesday, at around 10 a.m., the body of a 17-year-old youth was found lying in
a dry paddy field in Jinawali village, under the Awagarh police station area of
Etah district. The deceased bore injuries to his face and neck. Based on the
scene and the rope around his neck, it is believed that the youth was murdered
and then dragged and thrown into the paddy field. The deceased has been
identified as Pintu (17), son of Deshraj, a resident of Jinawali village,
Awagarh police station (Etah). The deceased's father, Deshraj, stated that his
son Pintu had gone to the fields to relieve himself at 4:00 a.m. and found his
body. Villagers called 112 to inform the police. Additional Superintendent of
Police Rajkumar Singh, Jalesar Circle Officer Gyanendra Singh, and SHO Awagarh
arrived at the scene with police forces. The field unit and dog squad also
arrived and collected evidence related to the incident. The police have taken
the deceased's body into custody and sent it for a post-mortem examination.
Jaleshwar
Circle Officer Gyanendra Pratap Singh stated that the deceased, Pintu, had left
home to relieve himself at around 4 a.m. this morning. His body was found in
Veeresh's dry paddy field, about 200 meters from the home. Apparently, injuries
were visible on the deceased's face and neck. The family suspects murder. The
exact cause of death will only be revealed by the post-mortem report.
