Hyderabad, 21 October (H.S.): Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday called upon Maoists to surrender and join the mainstream, urging them to contribute to the state’s progress and the nation’s development.

Addressing the gathering at the Police Flag Day parade in Hyderabad, the Chief Minister praised the Telangana Police for their dedication and announced that the department has been given a free hand to make the state drug-free.

“Maoist activities were once common in Telangana, but due to the relentless efforts of our police, peace now prevails,” Reddy said. “I appeal to those who are still underground to come out, surrender, and become part of the state’s growth story.”

The Chief Minister emphasized that the government’s focus is on peace and reconstruction, encouraging those involved in extremist movements to embrace change and take part in building a stronger Telangana.
