Hyderabad, 21 October (H.S.): The Telangana State Meteorological Department (TSMD) has issued a rain alert for several districts, including Nalgonda, Rangareddy, Wanaparthy, Gadwal, Khammam, and Suryapet. Light to moderate rain is expected in these areas over the next few hours, while Hyderabad may see isolated showers from the afternoon to evening.

According to TSMD, a low-pressure area formed early Tuesday over the South Andaman Sea and southeast Bay of Bengal has intensified into a deep depression. The system is expected to move toward the south coast of north Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, influencing weather conditions in Telangana over the next two days.

Light to moderate rainfall may continue across several districts on Wednesday, with chances of heavier spells in some areas. By Thursday, rain activity is likely to decrease gradually, though isolated showers and thunderstorms could still occur in parts of southern and western Telangana.
