Jalgaon, Former MLA

from Maharashtra’s Chalisgaon and Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar),

Rajiv Deshmukh, passed away on Tuesday following a massive heart attack.

Deshmukh was a

popular leader in Jalgaon and Chalisgaon, and represented Chailsgaon from 2009

to 2014. He was Vice-President of the

Regional Unit of NCP (SP). He lost the Assembly election in 2014 by a slender

margin.
