Gautam Buddha Nagar, 21 Oct (HS): A 20-year-old youth, resident
of Chhijarsi Colony, in the Sector 63 police station area, was trying to
explode bomb placed inside a steel glass on Diwali night. The bomb exploded
violently, shattering the steel glass, which penetrated several parts of the
youth's body. He was admitted to Fortis Hospital in Noida in critical condition
for treatment, where he died during treatment today. Inspector-in-charge of
Sector 63 police station, Awadhesh Pratap Singh, stated that Shiva, son of
Vinod, a 20-year-old resident of Bilal Masjid Wali Gali, Chhijarsi Colony, was
bursting firecrackers with his family late on Diwali night. He placed a large
bomb inside the glass and set it on fire.
The bomb exploded rapidly, shattering
the steel glass into pieces. He reported that some pieces of the glass flew
into the youth's body, causing him to bleed profusely. He was admitted to
Fortis Hospital in Noida in critical condition for treatment, where he died
during treatment. He said that the Sector 63 police station has taken the body
into custody and sent it for post-mortem. The police are taking legal action.
