Tinsukia (Assam), 21 October (HS): Panic gripped Digboi area in Tinsukia district on Tuesday morning after a body was found under mysterious circumstances by the roadside near the Golai area. The deceased has been identified as Vijay Malla, a resident of No. 1 Golai.

According to police, locals out for their morning walk spotted the body lying beside the road and immediately informed the authorities. Police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem examination.

An investigation has been launched to ascertain the cause of death. As of the latest reports, it remains unclear whether Vijay’s death was accidental or a case of homicide.
