Delhi, 20 October (H.S.): On Monday, Delhi's top political leadership, including Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta, extended their heartfelt greetings to the nation on the auspicious occasion of Diwali.

In messages shared on the social media platform X, they wished for the festival of lights to usher in an eternal stream of happiness, prosperity, and success into everyone's lives.Chief Minister Rekha Gupta described this year's Diwali as unprecedented for the capital.

She highlighted two significant developments: the administration's permission for the use of eco-friendly 'green firecrackers' and the first-ever grand 'Divya Deepotsav' held on Kartavya Path since India's independence. She stated that the illuminated Kartavya Path, adorned with millions of lamps, represents a confluence of faith and modernity and symbolizes the resolve and cultural renaissance of a New India.

She prayed for Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Ram, and Goddess Sita to illuminate everyone's life with their divine blessings.Other ministers also joined in conveying their festive wishes. Speaker Vijender Gupta hoped the festival would fill lives with new energy, enthusiasm, happiness, prosperity, and success.

Public Works Department Minister Pravesh Sahib Singh prayed to Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha for peace and prosperity for all citizens. In his message, Education Minister Ashish Sood urged the public to embrace the 'Vocal for Local' initiative and take a pledge to promote indigenous products this festive season.
