Lucknow,
20 Oct (HS): On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, Bishop Morris Edgar Dan of
the Church of North India (CNI), Lucknow extended heartfelt greetings to all
citizens of the country. He said that Diwali is not merely a festival of
lighting lamps, but a symbol of dispelling the darkness within us and spreading
the light of truth, love, and compassion.
In
his message, Bishop Dan said, “Diwali teaches us that when we light the lamps
of goodwill and empathy toward one another, darkness in society naturally
disappears. This day inspires us to fill not only our homes but also our hearts
with light — so that the glow of hope, peace, and joy may reach every life.” Bishop
Morris Edgar Dan further added that the festival of lights inspires us to
pledge ourselves toward building a society where the lamps of love, justice,
and equality forever shine bright. “May this Diwali bring new enthusiasm,
happiness, prosperity, and countless blessings into your lives,” he said. Bishop
Dan also appealed to all citizens to celebrate a safe and environmentally
friendly Diwali.
