New Delhi,2 october(HS): The festival of Vijayadashami, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil, is being celebrated with enthusiasm and festive spirit across the country. Today marks the tenth and final day of the Navratri and Durga Puja celebrations. On this auspicious occasion, President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings to the nation.

In a post on X, President Murmu write, On the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami, I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to all fellow citizens.The festival of Vijayadashami, symbolizing the victory of dharma over adharma, inspires us to follow the path of truth and justice. Celebrated in various parts of the country as Ravana dahan and Durga Puja, this festival reflects our national values. On this occasion, let us resolve to renounce negative traits like anger and arrogance, and embrace positive ones like courage and determination.May this festival inspire us to build a society and country where everyone moves forward together, inspired by the ideas of justice, equality and harmony.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted on X, “Vijaya Dashami celebrates the triumph of good and righteousness over evil and falsehood. May courage, wisdom and devotion always guide our paths.

Wishing my fellow Indians a happy Vijaya Dashami..”

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) also extended greetings to the people. Party president J.P. Nadda wrote on X: “Dharmo Jayati Na Adharmah, Satyam Jayati Nanritam” — conveying best wishes on Vijayadashami, the great festival of the victory of truth over falsehood and righteousness over unrighteousness. He further urged people to imbibe the ideals of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram to make life meaningful on this sacred occasion.
