Gandhinagar, October 2(HS): The Ministry of Rural Development, in collaboration with the Government of Gujarat, will host a two-day National Conference on Land Administration and Disaster Management on October 3–4, 2025, at the Mahatma Mandir Convention Centre in Gandhinagar.

The event is part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations and will bring together experts, administrators, and policymakers from across the country.

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will inaugurate the conference as Chief Guest and deliver the keynote address. Union Rural Development and Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will attend as Guest of Honor and deliver a special address. Dr. Jayanti S. Ravi, Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue Department, Government of Gujarat, will open the proceedings with a welcome note.Among the senior officials addressing the event will be Manoj Joshi, Secretary, Department of Land Resources, and Pankaj Joshi, Chief Secretary, Gujarat.

Key Highlights

-Seven panel discussions on modernizing revenue laws, upgrading land records, urban land management, resurvey strategies, revenue court reforms, disaster management practices, and human resource planning.

-An Action Seminar focused on developing actionable strategies for effective land administration and disaster response.

-Inauguration of new Revenue offices and residential buildings.

-Launch of the RO Diary Mobile Application and the Integrated Land Administration (ILA) system.

-Distribution of SVAMITVA cards and safety kits to families of nomadic tribes.

-Signing of MoUs with academic institutions to set up new Centers of Excellence.

The Ministry stated that this national-level platform aims to integrate modern technology with administrative reforms, ensuring better disaster preparedness and efficient land governance across India.
