Guwahati (Assam), 02 October (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma extended warm greetings on the occasion of Vijaya Dashami and Dussehra, emphasizing the eternal message of Dush Daman, Sant Palan (elimination of evil and protection of the virtuous).
In his message, the Chief Minister said that Sanatan civilization has always taught humanity to walk on the path of righteousness. He recalled that Goddess Durga's victory over Mahishasura opened the way for peace, while Lord Ram’s slaying of Ravana signifies the triumph of truth and virtue over arrogance and evil.
Dr. Sarma expressed hope that the festival, symbolizing the victory of good over evil, will inspire all to embrace positivity, spread harmony and bring new energy into life with divine blessings.
