Mumbai, 18 Oct (HS): Three people died in a road

accident on Karanja-Poha Road near Tuljapur Dam in Nanded District. The

accident occurred in the early hours of Saturday when a pick-up van hit a

rickshaw, killing two men and a woman. Eight others were injured.

The injured have been admitted to a hospital in

Washim. According to police, the pick-up van driver at a high speed hit an

auto-rickshaw coming from the opposite direction. Another auto-rickshaw coming

fro behind also was hit.

The deceased have been identified as Shalini

Lokhande (35), Nilesh Wanvasare (25), and Maruti Shinde (70). Out of the eight

injured, three are critical. Some of the

injured have been referred to Akola for further treatment.
