East Burdwan, 17 October (H.S.): A bus carrying passengers went out of control and rammed into a house on the Kusumgram-Putshudi road in the Girinagar area of Manteswar in East Burdwan district on Friday morning. Nine people, including the driver, conductor, and other passengers, were injured in the accident.

The injured were immediately rushed to the Manteswar Block Primary Health Center. Three seriously injured people were transferred to a larger hospital in Burdwan.

According to police sources, the bus was travelling from Sutra to Kusumgram on the Memari-Sutra route this morning. While trying to pass a dumper truck coming from the opposite direction, the bus went out of control and rammed into a house. A family member at the scene said, Everyone was sleeping. The house was damaged, but fortunately, we escaped.

The police have launched an investigation and are trying to determine the cause of the accident.
