Prayagraj, 16 Oct (HS): A massive meeting regarding the Ganga cleanliness drive was organised in the auditorium of Chandrashekhar Azad Circuit House under the leadership of BJP leader Yogesh Shukla. On this occasion, former Union Minister and former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Uma Bharti, who had come to Prayagraj in connection with the Ganga Seva Sankalp programme, said that the Modi government at the Centre and the Yogi government in the state are dedicated to the cleanliness, continuity and purity of Mother Ganga and are working in a planned manner under the policies, but Ganga will be completely clean only when every person in the society will think and work with dedication towards the cleanliness of Ganga. She further said that Ganga is not just a river but the lifeline of India.
It is our cultural heritage which has descended on this earth due to the penance of ascetics and said that Ganga, cow, Geeta and Gayatri Mantra are the soul of India which can never die. She said that Ganga is the path of devotion and power and is the basic foundation whose protection is the responsibility of every person.
She said that Congress, SP and other opposition parties do not care about religion and caste, they only mean doing politics for votes but the party of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bharatiya Janata Party is a party of ascetics, a party of Ram and nation devotees, who are working for the creation of a united India and fulfill whatever resolution they take and said that the construction of Ram temple on Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya was the firm resolution of Pujya Ashok Singhal, former Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Professor Rajju Bhaiya and crores of Ram devotees and it was in their hearts which was fulfilled by the Modi government, by removing Article 370 in Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi fulfilled the resolution of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and further said that to build a developed and self-reliant India, we will have to take the Swadeshi campaign as a resolution. She said that Uniform Civil Code and One Country One Election are the need of the country today.
While conducting the meeting, BJP leader Yogesh Shukla said that on the occasion of Dev Deepawali on November 4, a massive campaign will be launched at the national level at Sangam Ganga Ghat in Prayagraj under the leadership of former Union Minister and former Chief Minister Uma Bharti for the cleanliness, continuity and purity of Mother Ganga, for which a blueprint is being prepared.
Under the program, saints, Ganga devotees, Ganga Putri ascetics living in the Himalayas from every corner of the country will be invited in the cleanliness campaign of Maa Ganga and under this campaign, a dip will be taken in the Ganga while expressing gratitude to Maa Ganga and for the success of Kumbh Mela and for the arrangements made by Modi and Yogi government, for the service of Ganga bathers and Prayagraj residents.
