Bhubaneswar, 16 October (H.S.): Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) Yogesh Bahadur Khurania on Thursday asserted that the Odisha Police Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment examination remained secure and uncompromised, despite large-scale attempts to sabotage the process, thanks to timely vigilance and coordinated monitoring by multiple police units.
DGP Khurania informed the press that the Odisha Police successfully detected and halted any attempts to unfairly manipulate the examination before any candidates could secure jobs unlawfully.
“During the SI recruitment proceedings, we directed the SPs, Crime Branch, and Special Branches of all districts to maintain strict vigilance and ensure that the examination was conducted smoothly and fairly. Because of these precautions, the offenders were intercepted before the exam,” he said.
DGP Khurania also emphasized that the Crime Branch, which is leading the investigation into an emerging job-selling racket, is committed to apprehending all accused individuals and safeguarding the integrity of the recruitment process.
“The Crime Branch is handling the probe, and I have full confidence that they will conduct a thorough investigation and bring all culprits to justice,” he added.
