Bhubaneswar, 16 October (H.S.) : Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thusrday announced a 3% increase in the Dearness Allowance (DA) for state government employees ahead of the Diwali festival. With this revision, the total DA has been enhanced from 55% to 58%.
According to an official release from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the revised DA will be implemented retrospectively from July 1, 2025. Employees will receive the increased amount in cash along with their salary for the month of October.
In addition, the Chief Minister also announced a corresponding 3% hike in the Dearness Relief (TI) for state government pensioners. The revised TI will similarly be reflected in their October pension.
The decision is expected to benefit around 8.5 lakh government employees and pensioners across the state.
