Guwahati, 15 October (HS): Special DGP, CID, Assam, Munna Prasad Gupta clarified that the post-mortem report of singer Zubeen Garg circulating on social media is fake and not an authentic document.

Gupta stated that the viral report lacks the signature of the concerned medical officer and has been spread by certain mischievous elements with malicious intent.

“The so-called post-mortem report circulating online is forged. We are monitoring social media closely and strict legal action will be taken against those spreading such false and misleading information,” he warned.

Authorities have urged the public not to share or believe in unverified information being circulated online.---------
