Mumbai, 15 Oct (HS): Minister of State Indranil Naik has been appointed
the Guardian Minister of Gondia district. The decision was taken by Deputy
Chief Minister Ajit Pawar during a meeting in Mumbai.
Naiuk’s appointment came following Babasaheb Patils vacating the post on
health grounds. Nationalist Congress Party leader Praful Patel had criticised
Patil as he was seen in Gondia only on August 15 and January 26.
Patil had undergone surgery on his knees, following which his movement
was restricted. In his resignation he cited the reason and tendered his
resignation.
Ajit Pawar expressed confidence that Naik being a minister from the Vidarbha
region, will be able to expedite developmental works in Gondia.
