Guwahati, 15 October (HS): The Assam BJP announced that Adivasi youths who performed in the globally acclaimed “Jhumur Binondini” event will receive one-time financial assistance. The distribution will take place tomorrow, October 16, at Khanapara College of Veterinary Science Ground in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
BJP Spokesperson Kalyan Gogoi said the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to uplift Assam’s tea-tribe and Adivasi communities through cultural recognition and welfare measures. He added that under BJP rule, major development works like roads, housing, electricity, education and healthcare have reached tea garden areas — progress that was long neglected during Congress rule.--------
