Apni Party to field candidates for Nagrota, Budgam Assembly seats: Bukhari

Jammu, 15 October (H.S.): Apni Party president, Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari stated that his party will field candidates for both Assembly constituencies i.e., Nagrota and Budgam.

“The names of these candidates would be announced following the PAC meeting in Srinagar tomorrow,” said Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari in a press conference held here today.

While addressing the media persons, Bukhari said that his party would be contesting bye-polls in Nagrota and Budgam and accordingly, the candidate’s names would be announced.

He said, “The National Conference Government in J&K and the Central Government of BJP has failed to deliver as per the promises, both parties made to the people in the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir. Therefore, people shall reject both the ruling parties in the scheduled Assembly bye-polls on two seats of J&K.

“The people have lost their faith as NC as well as BJP has failed to fulfill their promises. J&K has not seen any development, no electricity waiver, no social schemes, no free-200 units to the people, no release of the jailed youth, unemployment on rise, no regularisation of daily wagers and Kashmir’s fruit growers suffered unprecedented losses as the Jammu-Srinagar Highway remained closed for 17 days,” he said.

Bukhari also questioned the BJP for its inability to deliver to the people of Jammu, who voted the majority of their candidates to the Legislative Assembly, yet the recent flood victims of Jammu faced negligence.
