Guwahati, 14 October (HS): The Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) marked its 41st Foundation Day on Tuesday with a special ceremony held at the party’s central office in Ambari, Guwahati.

Former Chief Minister of Assam, founder president of AGP and a key leader of the historic Assam Movement, Prafulla Kumar Mahanta, graced the occasion as a special guest. He was warmly welcomed by AGP leaders and workers upon his arrival at the party headquarters.

Agriculture Minister and senior AGP leader Atul Bora extended heartfelt gratitude to Mahanta for attending the event and wished him good health and long life.

Rajya Sabha’s former MP and Mahanta’s spouse, Jayashree Goswami Mahanta, along with other family members, were also present at the celebration.
