Ballia,
12 Oct (HS): Police in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, arrested two murder suspects in a
shootout. Both were shot in the leg in the encounter that occurred after
midnight on Saturday. Police have admitted both to the district hospital.

September 28, in Trikalpur, under the Gadwar police station area, tent house
owner Ejazul Haq was beaten to death with kicks, knives, and sticks inside his
shop. He died during treatment. Police investigations revealed that Raghavendra
Pratap Singh, alias Ghuran Singh, and Angad Kumar, along with their associates,
carried out the incident. The Superintendent of Police had announced a reward
of Rs. 15,000 for the arrest of Raghavendra Pratap Singh, alias Dhuran Singh,
wanted in Ejazul Haq's murder.

Kripashankar stated on Sunday morning that on Saturday night at around 1:30 am,
police were conducting a checkpoint at the Rampur Asli turn in the Gadwar
police station area. They signaled three men on a motorcycle to stop. However,
the riders opened fire on the police without stopping. Police pursued them, and
their motorcycle skidded off the left side of the road leading to Rampur Asli.
In retaliatory fire, Raghavendra Pratap Singh alias Dhuran Singh, son of
Lalbabu Singh, resident of Trikalpur, Gadwar police station, was shot in the
right leg, and Angad Kumar, son of Rang Bahadur Ram, resident of Bhikhampur,
Phephana police station, was shot in the left leg. He stated that another
criminal, Niranjan Singh, son of Shambhu Singh, resident of Trikalpur, Gadwar
police station, fled the scene with the motorcycle. The injured criminals,
Raghavendra Pratap Singh alias Ghuran Singh and Angad Kumar, are undergoing
treatment at Sadar Hospital. Two pistols were recovered from the arrested
criminals.
