Nagon (Assam), 11 October (HS): A semi-decomposed unidentified body was recovered from the Garozhora River in Barunitara village under Chapar area, sparking concern among local residents. The body was found floating in the river and reported to the authorities by villagers.

Police from Chapar station reached the spot and retrieved the body for examination. Efforts are underway to establish the deceased’s identity and determine the cause of death. The incident has created unease in the locality as investigations continue.
