Kolkata, 11 October (H.S.): Commuters faced significant inconvenience on Saturday due to another technical glitch on Kolkata Metro's Blue Line. Metro service from Girish Park to Dum Dum was partially disrupted. Many trains were slowed, resulting in thousands of passengers taking longer than usual to reach their destinations.

According to Metro Rail officials, a technical problem occurred with the signaling system at Dum Dum Metro station on Saturday afternoon. This disrupted Metro service from Dakshineswar to Girish Park. Metro service from Shahid Khudiram to Girish Park station was also erratic. Trains had to stop at several stations, causing significant inconvenience to passengers.

Passengers accused the Metro administration of negligence, stating that trains were intermittently stopping, announcements were unclear, and Metro drivers were unable to provide any information on the situation. This caused both confusion and anger among commuters.

As per information, after the closure of Kavi Subhash station, Metro service was currently operating from Dakshineswar to Shahid Khudiram. However, officials had already announced that several metro services would terminate at Mahanayak Uttam Kumar Station. Of the total 272 trains, 32 will not go to Kavi Subhash Station.

Recently, passengers have been growing dissatisfaction with the Blue Line (Dakshineswar-Shaheed Khudiram route). Late arrivals, improperly closing doors, and long train stops at stations have become common problems. Passengers said that the Blue Line has been neglected since the inauguration of three new routes.

Metro services were smooth during Durga Puja recently, but once the festival ended, passengers faced problems again.
