11 Oct (HS): Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said that

Samajwadi Party has always been against democracy and today Samajwadi Party is

standing with those who imposed Emergency in the country. Today SP is standing

shoulder to shoulder with the Congress Party which imposed Emergency in the

country. On one hand you make a political alliance with those who sent Loknayak

Jayaprakash Narayan behind the bars and harassed him, and on the other hand you

pretend to garland his statue. The people of the state and the country know

very well that you have nothing to do with democracy, you are against the

Constitution. You only want to grab media headlines by doing anti-law

activities.

Pathak said that today BJP is celebrating the birth anniversary of Jayaprakash

across the country and during the Emergency, the maximum number of workers sent

behind the bars were BJP workers and SP leaders should also think that the

people from the movement from which their party emerged were also behind the

bars but today they are in cahoots with the Congress party.
