Delhi, 11 October (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a significant meeting with Cristiano R. Amon, President and CEO of Qualcomm, to discuss India’s rapid advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), innovation, and skills development. The discussion also highlighted Qualcomm’s support for India’s ambitious Semiconductor and AI Missions.

The Prime Minister lauded Qualcomm’s commitment to these transformative initiatives, emphasizing India’s unmatched talent pool and scale as key assets to drive technological advancements that will shape the collective future. “India offers unmatched talent and scale to build technologies that will shape our collective future,” PM Modi said.

Cristiano Amon expressed gratitude for the engaging dialogue and shared Qualcomm’s focus on strengthening its partnership with India. He emphasized the potential to develop an indigenous ecosystem across AI-powered smartphones, PCs, smart glasses, automotive, and industrial sectors, as well as advancing the transition to 6G technology.
