Prayagraj,
11 Oct (HS): Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan was fondly remembered on his birth
anniversary alongwith the megastar of the century Amitabh Bachchan on his
birthday and their contributions in their respective fields were discussed in
depth. Under the leadership of BJP Metropolitan spokesperson Pawan Srivastava,
a floral tribute was offered at the statue of Jayaprakash Narayan in Manmohan
Park and he was paid respectful homage. On this occasion, he said that
Jayaprakash was the person whose campaign led to the defeat of the Indira
Gandhi government led by the Congress. In 1977, the people of India were
distressed by the functioning of the Congress, and Loknayak's campaign brought
relief to the people of the country. He called for a total
revolution at that time and said, Vacate the throne, the people are
coming. Only Loknayak had the courage to overthrow the tyrannical government
from power. In 1999, Narayan was posthumously awarded India's highest civilian
award, the Bharat Ratna, for his social service.
Remembering
megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Pawan Srivastava said that he is a pride not only
for Prayagraj but for the country. Bachchan's contribution in the field of film
and art is incomparable. Today's youth should learn from his activeness even at
the age of 84 and should follow him to remain eternally young. One should
strive to live a hardworking and disciplined life like him, these qualities
take a person to great heights. On this occasion, councilor Neeraj Gupta, Rahul
Srivastava, Kushagra Srivastava, Gaurish Ahuja, Shailendra Srivastava,
Umashankar Pal, Alok Srivastava, government advocate Satyaprakash Srivastava
etc. were present.
