Itanagar (Arunachal), 11 October (HS): A mild earthquake shook parts of Arunachal Pradesh early Saturday morning, giving residents a brief scare but causing no damage or injuries. According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the quake, measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale, struck at 8:31:35 AM with its epicenter located in East Kameng district, around 5 kilometers deep at coordinates 27.52°N and 92.85°E.

The tremors were felt faintly across some parts of the district, where people momentarily paused their morning routines, stepping out of homes and shops in caution. However, authorities quickly confirmed that all was safe and no harm had been reported so far.

Living in a region known for frequent seismic activity, locals are no strangers to such moments. Experts have once again reminded residents to follow basic safety measures and remain alert. Meanwhile, the administration continues to monitor the situation closely, ensuring calm returns to the serene hills of Arunachal Pradesh.
