Saharanpur,
11 Oct (HS): Amir Khan, the Foreign Minister of Afghanistan's Taliban
government, arrived at the country's renowned Islamic educational institution,
Deoband Darul Uloom, on Saturday, but his speech was hampered by the large
crowd. He was accompanied by 15 prominent clerics. Despite strict security
measures, the crowd was so large that his address had to be postponed. He was
scheduled to stay at Deoband Darul Uloom until 5 p.m., but to avoid chaos due
to the large crowd, he left Deoband at 2:30 p.m. He received a warm welcome at
Deoband Darul Uloom, and the entire welcome program was planned under the
supervision of Maulana Mufti Abul Qasim Nomani, the head cleric of Deoband
Darul Uloom. Delighted with his welcome, Khan expressed his gratitude and said
he would always remember it. In a brief conversation with media, he remarked
that Deoband Darul Uloom is his madar-e-Ilmi (mother of knowledge).
Maulana
Amir Khan was unable to speak at the Deoband Darul Uloom, but he was granted
permission to teach a Hadith lesson. He took a Hadith lesson from the
institution's head priest, Maulana Mufti Abul Qasim Nomani, and received
permission to continue teaching. The head priest then granted him a
Hadith-e-Sanad. With this sanad, his name now bears the title Qasmi. He will
now be able to write Qasmi before his name.
Happiness
was visible among the students: Upon reaching Darul Uloom Deoband, the students
(students) gave him a warm welcome. He left Delhi at 8 am and reached Darul
Uloom Deoband at around 12 noon. Such a huge crowd gathered to welcome him that
the police had to struggle a lot to remove the students and make way. The SSP
himself had to take charge. During this time, the police and intelligence
agencies remained on alert mode in Deoband in view of security.
Speaking
to media persons after Foreign Minister Aamir Khan left, Maulana Arshad Madani
said, We have an educational and academic relationship with Afghanistan.
He had come to meet his madrasa ilimi. He was also supposed to address the
gathering but he had to leave soon so the programme was changed.
