Pauri Garhwal, October 11 (H.S.) – Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated virtual smart classrooms for 840 schools across the state from Rajiv Gandhi Navodaya Vidyalaya, Nanurkheda, Dehradun, under which 91 schools in Pauri district have now received the benefits of these smart classrooms.
During the inauguration, the Chief Minister interacted with students attending the virtual smart class at Raika Jhandichaur, Kotdwar. Yamini, a 10th-grade student, expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for introducing the virtual smart classrooms.
The program at PM Shree Government Girls Inter College, Pauri was attended by Municipal Chairperson Himani Negi, who remarked that the initiative will help students shape their futures and also allow them to resolve their doubts through two-way communication.
District Education Officer (Secondary) Ranjit Singh Negi said that virtual classrooms have been operational in 81 schools in the district since 2018-19, and the addition of 91 new virtual smart classes marks a revolutionary step in the district’s education system. He highlighted that the subject-wise live broadcast studio at Rajiv Gandhi Navodaya Vidyalaya, Nanurkheda, will provide students not only traditional academic subjects but also guidance from experts to enhance their mental, physical, and skill development.
The event was also attended by Block Education Officer Master Adarsh, BRC Naveen Dobhal, Principal Dr. Savitri Shaiv Negi, and teachers including Sushma Bisht, Mamta Kala, Pramila Negi, Ranjana Pandey, and Sarita Rana.
