Jammu, 1 October (H.S.): A trucker from Gujarat and his aide from Uttar Pradesh died in a road accident at Jhajjar Kotli area here, officials said today.

Truck driver Vinod Bai (40) son of Bachu Bai of Salum, Gujarat and his associate Ramnish (40) son of Surinder Singh of Farokabad, Uttar Pradesh, were hit by an Eeco car on Monday, officials said.

They died on-the-spot, they said, adding that two other persons travelling in the Eeco car also sustained injuries in the accident.

“They are currently undergoing treatment at Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu,” a police official said.

While the bodies of the deceased individuals have been shifted to the hospital for completion of the medico-legal formalities, police have registered a case under the relevant sections of the law at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and started further investigation into the matter.
