New Delhi, October 1 (HS): President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday extended warm greetings to the nation on the eve of Vijayadashami, conveying her heartfelt wishes to all citizens.

In her message, the President said the festival of Vijayadashami, which symbolizes the triumph of righteousness over evil, inspires society to walk on the path of truth and justice.

She noted that the celebration of Ravan Dahan and Durga Puja across different parts of the country reflects India’s rich national values.

“The festival teaches us to renounce negative tendencies like anger and arrogance, and embrace positive virtues such as courage and determination,” President Murmu remarked.

Expressing her hope for the nation, she added that Vijayadashami should inspire the building of a society and a country where equality, justice, and harmony guide everyone to move forward together.
