Kolkata, 1 October (H.S.): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee extended her Maha Navami greetings on Thursday by releasing a new devotional song dedicated to Goddess Durga. What makes the release special is that the lyrics and composition of the song have been crafted by Banerjee herself, while popular singer Iman Chakraborty has lent her voice to it.

Sharing the song on social media platform X, the Chief Minister posted a poetic line: “If there were a little garden, I would bloom every day as a bud.” Along with this, she conveyed her heartfelt festive wishes to the people of Bengal.

This is not the first time Banerjee has showcased her creative side during Durga Puja. Earlier this week, on Shashthi, she shared two different songs written and composed by her. With the latest offering on Maha Navami, this marks her third musical release of the season.

Mamata Banerjee, apart from her political stature, is known for her literary pursuits, often expressing herself through poetry, painting, and music. This festive season, her songs have added a personal and artistic touch to the cultural celebrations of Bengal.
