Navratri
festival of faith in mother-women power: CM Yogi
Gorakhpur,
01 Oct (HS): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while extending his heartfelt
greetings to all the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of
Mahanavami of Sharadiya Navratri and Vijayadashami festival to be celebrated on
Thursday, said that the world cannot be imagined without women power in any
aspect of life. With this sentiment, many programs are being run for respect,
security and self-reliance towards women power. As a result of these programs,
the happy fact is that despite being the largest state in the country in terms
of population, crimes against women in Uttar Pradesh are minimum. Whereas this
state is number one in the country in terms of accotding punishment to accused
in crimes against women.
Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath, as the head of Gorakhpeetha, was speaking to media
persons on Wednesday after performing Kanya Pujan (worship of girls) on the
Mahanavami date of Sharadiya Navratri at the Gorakhnath temple. He said that
followers of Sanatan Dharma (the world's mother), twice a year during Sharadiya
and Vasantik Navratri, participate with devotion and joy in the worship and
rituals of the nine forms of Goddess Durga. In the Sanatan tradition, this
festival of faith in the mother power and women's power provides new
inspiration. This festival of Navratri makes us aware that the primordial power
of the entire universe is a form of women's power. He said that today, on the
ninth date of Sharadiya Navratri, the Kanya Pujan (worship of girls) is being
performed along with the worship of the form of Goddess Siddhidatri. He is
fortunate to have the opportunity to perform the Kanya Pujan (worship of girls)
ritual according to the sacred tradition of Gorakhpeetha.
The
government is dedicated to the safety, respect and self-reliance of women
power: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that women's power is given a very
important place in the eternal faith. With a sense of moral responsibility to
the eternal faith, the government is dedicated to the safety, respect, and self-reliance
of women. The fifth phase of Mission Shakti was launched on September 22, the
first day of Sharadiya Navratri, to ensure women's safety. Programs are being
run at the Panchayat level to promote women's safety and self-reliance.
Commendable work is being undertaken under this initiative in all districts of
the state. Mission Shakti is progressing toward new heights of success. Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that India has always held a deep respect and
reverence for women, a virtue evident in every era. Even today, India's women
have astonished the world by demonstrating their strength and power in every
field.
If
the daughter is safe then the society is safe: The Chief Minister said that
where daughters are safe and respected, the society there is also considered
safe and respectable. This is the case in Uttar Pradesh. Under the guidance of
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, schemes like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Matri
Vandana, Kanya Sumangala, and mass marriage are dedicated to the safety,
respect, and self-reliance of daughters. In this vein, the Nari Shakti Vandan
Act has also been enacted to ensure the representation of women in the highest
Panchayats of the country. CM Yogi said that 1 crore women in the state are
receiving an annual pension of Rs. 12,000 in some form. 26 lakh daughters have
been enrolled in the Kanya Sumangala Yojana, which offers a package of Rs. 25,000
for education from birth to graduation. By increasing the funding amount under
the mass marriage scheme to Rs. 100,000 per couple, poor families have been
relieved of the worry of financial difficulties in their daughters' marriages.
Vijayadashami,
the symbol of eternal victory: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also
congratulated all the people of the state on the occasion of Vijayadashami,
which will be celebrated on Thursday. He said that Vijayadashami symbolizes
India's eternal victory. It is a festival of victory of righteousness, justice,
and morality over unrighteousness, injustice, and oppression. On Vijayadashami,
effigies of Ravana, the symbol of tyranny, unrighteousness, and injustice, will
be burned, and ceremonies will be held to mark the coronation of Lord Shri Ram.
