Delhi, 1 October (H.S.): Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday praised the contribution of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) volunteers on the occasion of the organisation’s centenary year, describing their work as a shining example of sacrifice and dedication in nation-building.
In a post on X, Gadkari highlighted the Sangh’s guiding philosophy of “Nation First,” which, he said, has inspired countless volunteers over the past 100 years. “By making the resolve of ‘Nation First’ the sole purpose of life and dedicating themselves to the service of the motherland, the world’s largest volunteer organisation—the RSS—has made unparalleled contributions in nation-building. Over the course of a century, millions of swayamsevaks have been guided on the path of sacrifice and commitment, rising above self-interest for the sake of the nation,” he stated.
Gadkari also extended greetings to swayamsevaks across the country while recalling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s special gesture to commemorate the occasion with the release of a commemorative postage stamp and a Rs.100 coin, issued earlier in the day at a Ministry of Culture event.
Prime Minister Modi, at the centenary celebrations, unveiled the specially designed stamp and coin as a tribute to the RSS’s hundred years of service.
