01 Oct (HS): On the auspicious occasion of Ashtami Tithi of the ongoing

Navratri and Garba Mahotsav at Raj Bhavan Lucknow, the devotional worship of

Maa Durga and divine aarti was organised in an atmosphere of utmost reverence,

devotion and dignity.

In

this divine ritual, OSD to the Governor Dr. Sudhir Mahadev Bobde, Vice

Chancellor Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Azad Technical University Lucknow J.P.

Pandey, Vice Chancellor Lucknow University Dr. Manuka Khanna along with Raj

Bhavan officials, employees, faculty members and other guests were present.

Following

the praise and worship of Goddess Durga, the devotees and distinguished guests

participated in the Garba dance. As in previous years, this year too, the

festival is being celebrated with great devotion, enthusiasm, and cultural

dignity at the Raj Bhavan. Following the program, Prasad was distributed to the

devotees present.

This

Navratri and Garba festival, which began on September 22, is being held daily

in a divine atmosphere in the Raj Bhavan premises and will continue until

Wednesday. After this, this cultural-religious event will conclude on October 2

with the ritual immersion of the idol of Goddess Durga. The programme was

conducted by Special Officer (Education) Dr. Pankaj L. Jani.
