Ex-Home Minister Anil Deshmukh’s claim of attack is fake: Police

Nagpur, 01 Oct

(HS): The attack on Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar) and former Home

Minister Anil Deshmukh was fake. The investigating agency has claimed that the

attack on Deshmukh’s during a campaign during the last Assembly elections, on

November 19, 2024 was manipulated. Deshmukh had complained of attack on him

near Bailfata, when he was travelling to Katol from Saoner in Nagpur district.

The Forensic

Department stated that Deshmukh’s car was installed with reinforced glass

panes. A stone pelted can break the glass, but cannot inflict injury on him.

Two stones were examined along with the car, one of which hit the bonnet and

other pelted from behind. The stone pelted from behind cannot hit the forehead

of Anil Deshmukh, as reported.

The

investigating agency has concluded that the incident as reported by Deshmukh

never occurred.

Anil Deshmukh,

however, has claimed that this is only the B Summery, as the accused were never

detected by the police. The C Summery is still awaited. Deshmukh also said that

he would explain the incident at a press conference soon.
