Delhi, 1 October (H.S.): Consumers face price pressure this festive season as public sector oil and gas marketing companies have increased the prices of 19-kilogram commercial LPG cylinders by up to ₹16. However, prices for domestic cooking gas cylinders remain unchanged. The revised rates came into effect from Wednesday.

According to Indian Oil’s official website, the price of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders in the national capital New Delhi has risen by ₹15, now priced at ₹1,595, up from ₹1,580. In Kolkata, the same cylinder is ₹16 costlier, retailing at ₹1,700.

Similarly, in Mumbai, the price of commercial cylinders has increased by ₹16 to ₹1,547, while in Chennai, the rate has also been hiked by ₹16, reaching ₹1,754.Domestic LPG cylinders weighing 14.2 kilograms have not experienced any price revision. These cylinders are currently priced at ₹853 in Delhi, ₹879 in Kolkata, ₹852.50 in Mumbai, and ₹868.50 in Chennai.This price increase in commercial LPG cylinders could impact the operating costs for hotels, restaurants, and small businesses significantly during the festive period.
