Guwahati, 1 October (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday extended his gratitude to all voluntary blood donors on the occasion of National Voluntary Blood Donation Day.

The CM emphasized that “blood donation is the greatest donation,” noting that a single unit of blood can save up to four lives and often becomes the only bridge between life and death in emergency situations.

Appealing to citizens, Sarma said, “Let us not only donate blood but also spread awareness about its importance, ensuring more people join this noble cause to save lives.”--------
