Sultanpur,
01 Oct (HS): Three people were injured in firing with illegal weapons during a
dispute between two groups at a crossroads in the Kadipur police station area
of Sultanpur district in Uttar Pradesh. Police arrested two suspects in a
shootout during the wee hours. The injured suspects were arrested and admitted
to the district hospital for treatment.
Superintendent
of Police Kunwar Anupam Singh said on Wednesday that three people were injured
in firing from illegal weapons during a dispute between two groups at the
Kadipur intersection in the Kadipur area late last night. The injured included
Ujjwal Singh (27), son of Jai Prakash Singh, resident of Vivekananda Nagar,
Naeem Ahmed (34), son of Funnan Ghosi, resident of Jawahar Nagar, and Ehsan
(19), son of Chhuttan, resident of Ghosi, Kadipur police station. They were
taken to the hospital for treatment. Doctors described their condition as
stable.
In
this regard, Asma, wife of Sharif, resident of Gopalpur Namazgarh, Kadipur
police station, gave a complaint to the Kadipur police station and a case was
registered against the first party accused Ankit Singh (28), son of Virendra
Singh, resident of village Jalalpur, Shani Singh (29), resident of village
Dhuripur, Kadipur police station, Rahul Rajput (30), son of Rajanarayan,
resident of village Jalalpur, Kadipur police station and two unknown persons.
The
police registered a case and formed police teams to arrest the accused. The
accused were trying to escape. When the police teams surrounded them, the
accused opened fire on the police team. In self-defense, the police team also
fired, in which the accused Ankit Singh and Rahul Rajput were injured by
bullets in their legs. They were arrested in an injured condition and admitted
to the hospital for treatment. Adequate police force has been deployed on the
spot. The law and order situation is normal.
