01 Oct (HS): MH Prayagraj proudly joined the nation in celebrating the
Centenary Raising Day of the Military Nursing Service (MNS) with a series of
meaningful activities and a commemorative event. In the run-up
to the celebration, MH Prayagraj
organized a variety of pre-event
activities including a health
and lifestyle workshop, health
screening camp, donation
rally, walkathon, cleanliness drive, and tree plantation, all aimed at
promoting health awareness and community welfare.
On the
Centenary Raising Day, PM
Col Epina Mukhopadhyay led
the oath-taking ceremony,
reaffirming the unwavering commitment
of Nursing Officers to serve the nation with compassion, dedication, and professionalism.
The celebrations were graced by the
Chief Guest, Maj Gen J. S. Sohal, VSM
(Bar), along with other distinguished dignitaries. The
event concluded with a High Tea,
fostering a spirit of camaraderie among officers, Nursing Officers, and
guests. This landmark occasion not only honoured the legacy of the MNS, which
has served with courage and care for a
century, but also reinforced its continued
dedication to military healthcare in times of peace and war.
