(HS): The Regional Transport Office (RTO)
employees across Maharashtra State are staging a token strike on June 9, with a
plan to launch indefinite strike from June 16.
The Employees
Union is protesting inordinate delay in resolving their grievances, including cancellation
of promotions for 56 employees, delay post-recruitment service rules and delay
in time-bound promotions.
Vehicle
registration, driving tests, issuance of licences and fitness certificates and
other works were affected on Tuesday.
Four rounds of
talks with Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik have failed to yield results.
