NEW DELHI, 9 June (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday shared a Sanskrit subhashita highlighting the qualities of a truly wise person dedicated to the welfare of society. He said that through sustained efforts inspired by the spirit of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ (Together with All, Development for All) over the past 12 years, India has been steadily progressing towards becoming a stronger and self-reliant nation.

In a post on the social media platform X, Prime Minister Modi wrote, “Dedication to nation-building and a spirit of service have been our invaluable assets. It is through continuous efforts inspired by the ethos of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ over the last 12 years that we are moving forward towards a strong and self-reliant India.”

The Prime Minister also shared a Sanskrit subhashita, which reads:

“Āryakarmāṇi rājyante bhūtikarmāṇi kurvate।

Hitaṁ cha nābhyasūyanti sa vai paṇḍita uchyate॥”

The verse signifies that a person who remains consistently engaged in noble and virtuous deeds, is devoted to the progress and welfare of society, respects the beneficial words and actions of others, and harbours no ill will towards them, is truly worthy of being called wise.

The Prime Minister underscored that the principles of service, inclusivity and commitment to public welfare continue to guide the nation’s development journey as India advances towards greater strength and self-reliance.
