
Mirzapur, 09 June (HS): Chhanbe MLA Rinki Kol inaugurated
the Vindhya Food Carts by cutting the ribbon and distributing them to women
from livelihood self-help groups at the Halia block complex on Tuesday. On this
occasion, she encouraged the women to move forward towards self-employment and
self-reliance. At the event, food carts were distributed to women from five
groups, including the Shiv Guru Livelihood Self-Help Group, the Chand
Livelihood Self-Help Group, and the Shiv Livelihood Support Group. MLA Rinki
Kol said that the women in the groups can increase their income and strengthen
their livelihoods by selling their products and food items in the market
through the food carts.
During this time, the women of the group prepared various
dishes, including chaat, phulki, baati-chokha, and samosas, on the block
premises. The MLA personally tasted these dishes and praised the women's
efforts. Addressing the programme, Block Development Officer (BDO) Vijay
Shankar Tripathi gave detailed information about various schemes run by the
government to promote self-employment and called upon the women to avail their
benefits. On this occasion, ADO Panchayat Rupesh Srivastava, ADO Narendra
Kanapuria, CM Fellow Gaurav and a large number of women from self-help groups
were present.
