Guwahati, 09 June (HS): Satradhikar of Sri Sri Auniati Satra, eminent exponent of Sattriya culture, poet and litterateur Dr. Pitambar Dev Goswami is leaving for London on Tuesday on an important cultural mission.

Dr. Goswami is scheduled to deliver a lecture on Sattriya culture at the British Parliament on June 17. The address will highlight the rich spiritual, cultural and literary legacy of Assam’s Vaishnavite tradition.

According to sources, the lecture will include references to the invaluable contributions and creations of revered saints Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardeva, Madhavdeva and Damodardeva, whose teachings and works played a pivotal role in shaping Assam’s cultural identity.

As part of the visit, the Satradhikar will also carry a traditional GURU ASANA and a decorative BICHANI adorned with HENGUL-HAITAL MOTIFS for preservation at the British Museum, showcasing Assam’s unique heritage and craftsmanship on an international platform.-----------
