
Guwahati, 09 June (HS): A four-day residential Master Trainers’ Training Programme for the first phase of Census 2027, the Houselisting and Housing Census (HLO), commenced at the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Guwahati, on Tuesday.
The programme has brought together 59 Master Trainers, including officials from various districts and the Directorate of Census Operations (DCO), Assam. They will train 1,109 Field Trainers, who will subsequently train over 83,000 enumerators and supervisors across the state.
Senior officials highlighted the importance of Census 2027 for evidence-based planning and governance, stressing the key role of Master Trainers in ensuring accurate data collection and effective implementation.
The training includes census concepts, field procedures, digital tools, and training methodologies. The programme will continue till June 12 with intensive technical and practical sessions.------------
