
Ujjain, 24 May (H.S.): Ujjain Falcons, one of the three new franchises introduced this season in the Madhya Pradesh League T20, have begun intensive preparations ahead of their maiden appearance in the tournament, with the team aiming to make an immediate impact and challenge for the title.
Blending youthful energy with a fresh strategic outlook, the franchise has already commenced training sessions featuring a promising group of domestic cricketers along with emerging Indian Premier League talent Madhav Tiwari.
Speaking about the team’s preparations and long-term vision, Ujjain Falcons promoter Vinayak Kalani said in a statement that the franchise was extremely excited about its inaugural season in MPL 2026.
“This is a completely new franchise built on fresh energy, modern thinking, and a deep passion for cricket. The players have already begun training, and there is tremendous enthusiasm throughout the camp,” he said.
Kalani further stated that the franchise has assembled a balanced squad consisting of talented young players and proven match-winners.
“We have entered MPL 2026 with the ambition of winning the championship and are determined to script a new chapter in the league,” he added.
Madhav Tiwari, who impressed with his performances for Delhi Capitals in the IPL, is expected to play a key role for the Falcons this season. The team will be coached by former Madhya Pradesh cricketer Sunil Dholpure, who is known for his deep understanding of the state’s cricketing structure.
Ujjain Falcons will begin their MPL 2026 campaign against Gwalior Cheetahs on June 3 at the historic Holkar Stadium.
