
- Gold Becomes Costlier by Up to ₹2,130 Over the Past Week**
New Delhi, May 24(HS): Gold prices witnessed a downward trend across most domestic bullion markets on Sunday, while silver recorded marginal gains during the day’s trading session.
In most major bullion markets across the country, gold prices declined by ₹390 to ₹420 per 10 grams. In contrast, silver prices registered a symbolic increase of up to ₹100 per kilogram.
Following the decline in spot gold prices, 24-carat gold was trading between ₹1,59,060 and ₹1,60,690 per 10 grams in most parts of the country. Meanwhile, 22-carat gold was being sold in the range of ₹1,45,800 to ₹1,47,300 per 10 grams.
Silver prices, on the other hand, witnessed a slight upward movement, with the metal trading at around ₹2,85,000 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market.
On a weekly basis, however, both gold and silver have registered significant gains. During the previous week’s trading, 24-carat gold became costlier by as much as ₹2,130 per 10 grams. Similarly, 22-carat gold rose by up to ₹1,950 per 10 grams over the week.
Silver prices also recorded strong gains despite fluctuations during the week, with the precious metal rising by nearly ₹5,000 per kilogram on a weekly basis.
In Delhi, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,59,210 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹1,45,950 per 10 grams.
In Mumbai, India’s financial capital, 24-carat gold was being sold at ₹1,59,060 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was trading at ₹1,45,800 per 10 grams.
Similarly, in Ahmedabad, the retail price of 24-carat gold stood at ₹1,59,110 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹1,45,850 per 10 grams.
Apart from these major cities, in Chennai, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,60,690 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,47,300 per 10 grams.
In Kolkata, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹1,59,060 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was trading at ₹1,45,800 per 10 grams.
In Bhopal, 24-carat gold was available at ₹1,59,110 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,45,850 per 10 grams.
In Jaipur, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,59,210 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold stood at ₹1,45,950 per 10 grams.
Similarly, in Patna, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹1,59,110 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,45,850 per 10 grams.
In the bullion market of Lucknow, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,59,210 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was being sold at ₹1,45,950 per 10 grams.
Like other parts of the country, bullion markets in Karnataka, Telangana, and Odisha also witnessed a decline in gold prices on Sunday. In the capital cities of Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Bhubaneswar, 24-carat gold was trading at ₹1,59,060 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹1,45,800 per 10 grams.
