New Delhi, 3 March (H.S.): Amid escalating tensions in West Asia, Mohammed Nizamuddin, Ambassador for Peace and Vice Chairman of the GOADH Foundation, has issued a public appeal urging immediate de-escalation and cessation of hostilities in the region.
In a statement released on Monday, Nizamuddin expressed concern over the humanitarian impact of the ongoing conflict. He said war leads to widespread human suffering, affecting civilians, families and communities, and results in long-term instability.
He observed that public infrastructure, economic systems and social harmony are often severely disrupted during prolonged military confrontations. According to him, in an interconnected global environment, regional conflicts carry implications beyond national borders and contribute to wider uncertainty.
Calling for restraint, Nizamuddin urged the leadership of Israel, the United States and other concerned parties to prioritise ceasefire efforts and ensure humanitarian access. He emphasised the need for constructive dialogue and diplomatic engagement to restore stability.
He stated that sustainable solutions can be achieved through mutual understanding and diplomacy rather than extended confrontation, and expressed hope that wisdom and restraint would guide decision-making in the current situation.
The appeal comes at a time when tensions in West Asia continue to generate global concern, particularly over civilian safety and regional stability.
